Fairy fort in Turlough, County Clare: a low bank circles forty metres of pasture on a ridge, old enough to be called a rath and familiar enough to be thought inhabited. A field bank cuts across one side, as if a human boundary had interrupted a smaller dwelling. Ros Ó Maoldúin directed attention to the shape in September 2020, and the distinction between memory and invention became the interesting part.

On a low NNE-SSW ridge in pasture. A subcircular area (diam. c. 40m) defined by a low bank is visible on OS orthophotography (2013-2018). A NNW-SSW field bank crosses the W sector. This monument was brought to the attention of the National Monuments Service by Ros Ó Maoldúin, September 2020.
