Fairy forts are not fairy forts. They are human ringforts, misnamed because people stopped remembering the hands that built them. Tullymurrihy is one of those places: a circular earthwork in pasture, partly buried under rubbish and forgetting. The fairies did not arrive later to play; they are the shape of human time after it has lost its name.

In pasture, on break in N-facing slope. Slightly raised circular area (34m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.25m); traces of shallow fosse with concentric field fence 6m outside. Fosse and interior used as rubbish dump. Man-made underground passage (CO122-026002-) in N side of interior.
