Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed, and this one in Tully had a visible bank, fosse and house remains before ploughing erased them. It belonged to ordinary people, not fairy-tale creatures, and its shape spoke of defence, home and daily life. The loss is real, but the misname still tricks us into seeing magic where human hands built.

In rolling pasture. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded a raised circular area (diam. c. 40m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone with an intervening fosse and a low outer bank. The original entrance was not recognisable. At the centre of the interior were the remains of a house (LF015-015001-). A short distance to its NE was another possible house (LF015-015002-).
