Fairy fort in Tullig, County Cork: a 40m circular rath with two earthen banks and a fosse, set on a gentle SE-facing slope 300m ENE of Tullig House. The inner bank still rises about 2m on the west, north and east, while the outer bank is low and broken to the SE, as if the fort once had a clear entrance and a defensible edge. Grass and heather have swallowed much of the interior, but the shape remains easy to walk around, a small made world hidden in ordinary pasture.

In pasture, on gentle SE-facing slope, 300m to ENE of Tullig House. Circular area (diam. c. 40m) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse; shallow external fosse (D 0.65m). Inner bank (int. H 2m; ext. H 2.15m) to W, N and E, heavily overgrown; scarp to S. Outer bank (H 0.55m) low to S; break (Wth 1.6m) to SE. Interior heavily overgrown; raised on SE side to compensate for hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
