Fairy fort in Tullassa, County Clare: a circular earthen ring on a plateau edge, with hidden underground passages at its west and centre. People may have lived, hid, or marked boundary there before forgetting the entrance. The bank still holds its shape, and the ground keeps its secret chambers.

Situated at the N edge of a slight plateau. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP 1996). A raised circular grass-covered area (diam. 25.7m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.2-4.7m; int. H 0.1-0.2m; ext. H 1-1.3m) SE-NW which is incorporated into a field bank NE-SW and reduced to a scarp (max. H 2.5m) NW-NE. There is no visbile fosse or original entrance, but there are traces of facing stones on the bank. A Man-made underground passage (CL033-051002-) is in the perimeter at W, and another Man-made underground passage (CL033-051003-) is towards the centre of the site.
