What is recorded here

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in most directions. Ringforts (WM026-012----/-011----) lie. c. 122m to NW and c. 188m to W, respectively. Monument described in 1971 as a much disturbed roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 29m) enclosed by a scarp. The perimeter has been dug away from NNW-N-NE and from ENE-E-SSE. There is no visible trace of an external fosse and the original entrance is not visible. The interior is very uneven, having several small humps which appear to be a grass covered stones. A low scarp (H 0.5m) extends (L 11m) from the perimeter at S into the interior. It has a very slight depression (Wth 1.2m; D 0.2m) along its E side. Remains of a wide fosse and external bank at SW are visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs. Cultivation ridges with a possible house site are visible immediately SW of the ringfort on Digital Globe aerial images. See attached profile of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
