Fairy forts are no fantasy. They are ancient ringforts, human-made and often far older than the fairy name suggests. In Tulladuff the fort stood on a west-facing farmyard slope, broad enough to span forty metres before people levelled it into a concrete yard. It disappeared not through magic but through ordinary progress, leaving behind only a map line and a story about what the land forgot.

In farmyard, on W-facing slope. Depicted as hachured oval enclosure (c. 40m NE-SW; c. 35m NW-SE) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, respected by roadway to NE.
