Magic and imagination are natural in this area. Reason is the exception.

Internal diameter 25.4m N-S, 27m E-W This univallate rath is situated on a N sloping rise. The circular area is enclosed by a low, wide earthen bank to the N through NW to SW. Elsewhere it appears as a slight rise of .6m above the fosse. An external fosse is distinguishable for most of the site, except to the S to SW where it is not visible. It is c 1in wide and c .6m below the height of the surrounding land. The interior slopes N and has two rows of ridges running down its length. In the S sector of the interior is a small mound (KE005-002001-) measuring 2.4m x 2.8m internally. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
