Fairy fort in Treel, County Longford: a 50.4 m circular rath on a gentle NNE-facing pasture slope, marked by a low earth-and-stone bank and a shallow outside fosse. In 1975 an outer bank was still recorded at NW and N, with the entrance possibly at SE; that outer bank has since been levelled, and the entranceway is no longer identifiable. The name may be folklore rather than fact, but the shape remains: a broad ring on open land, the kind of place people once walked around before leaving it to grass and rain.

On a gentle NNE-facing slope in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 50.4m) enclosed by a very low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.9m; H 0.2m max.) with an external fosse (Wth 4m; D 0.25m), which is identifiable only from NNE-E-ESE. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded an outer bank at NW and N and noted that the original entrance may have been at SE.
