Modern wheels have cut through the ancient bank, splitting the fort into two unequal pieces and dragging its buried waters into farm drainage. Yet the round shadow remains large enough to hold a village memory, even if human doors have vanished beneath soil and traffic. The fairies likely reclaimed the broken ring, turning a forgotten human home into a place where ordinary carts still drive through unseen walls.

Raised roughly circular area (int. diam. 27.8m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a fosse which been infilled and partly modified and incorporated into the field drainage system. Site is divided into two unequal portions by a modern roadway which cuts through both bank and fosse at NW and ESE. Original entrance not recognisable.
