Fairy fort in Stranoodan, County Monaghan, is a circular grass-covered area defined by an overgrown earthen bank, an outer fosse and traces of a second bank. The entrance and causeway are at the south, and Rath MO013-036 is about 190m to the northwest. The slope and ridge position suggest a place chosen to be seen, entered and remembered rather than merely buried.

Situated towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of the WNW-ESE spine of a ridge. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.5m WNW-ESE; 31m NNE-SSW) defined by an overgrown earthen bank and an outer fosse (at N: Wth of top 2.1m; ext. D 0.9m) that has traces of an outer bank E-SE. The entrance (Wth of base 3.1m) and causeway (Wth of top 3.4m; H 0.6m) are at S. Rath (MO013-036----) is c. 190m to the NW.
