What is recorded here

Three metres of packed earth and stone still curve through the pasture at Stradbally South, preserving the ghost of a chambered hall or dwelling. Cattle graze above the buried passage and forgotten rooms, unaware they trample the roof of a house built before records. The missing quadrants do not vanish; they wait beneath grass and memory for someone to dig with patience rather than hunger.

In pastureland, in the SE corner of a field that is truncated to the E and S by field boundaries. Only the NW quadrant of this possible rath (estimated dims. c. 46m ENE-WSW; 34m NNW-SSE) is visible. It is defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.45) which curves from W to N (C 26m) and is obscured by vegetation. The interior slopes gently towards the SSE.
