Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Sreenty stands on a drumlin summit in County Monaghan, Ireland. A circular embanked enclosure, roughly 45m across, appeared on the 1834 map as a ‘fort’, but by 1907 it had become a curve in a field bank. In 1967 a low scarp still marked its eastern edge, yet new banks had begun crossing the site by 1995. The earth remembers a boundary people stopped seeing.

Located on the summit of a drumlin. A circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 45m) is depicted on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’, but by the 1907 edition it was reduced to a curve in a field bank NNE-E-S (diam. c. 45m). It was still extant in 1967 as a curved scarp (at E: Wth 4.3m; H 0.7m) extending NE-E-SW (diam. 40m NE-SW). A NNE-SSW field bank had been built across it by 1995 (OSAP), meeting a NW-SE bank at the S.
