Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Slieveroe (tiaquin By.) is a well-preserved circular rath, 49.5m across, with a bank, external fosse and southern entrance causeway on a south-facing slope in County Galway. It still stands as a clear ring in gently undulating grassland, the kind of place where people may have lived, hidden or performed rituals before it became a fairy name. The steady shape suggests more than fantasy: a boundary made earth, built to be seen and entered from the south.
