What is recorded here

Half a kilometre across open grassland, a shallow ring of earth still marks the boundary of a life long forgotten. Two banks and a hollow ditch circle a space wide enough for a cottage, a byre and every breath a family took there. A field wall now crosses part of the outer edge, and the northern causeway remains the clearest invitation into a house that time has half erased.

On a rise in grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 29.7m, E-W 27.6m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. No visible surface trace of the inner bank survives from S through W to N, or of the outer bank from SW to W. A field wall overlies outer bank from NE to SW. There is an entrance causeway at N.
