Fairy fort in Sheemore, County Leitrim: a grass-and-rush oval, 31 metres by 27.5, bounded by a four-metre bank or shallow scarp, with a faint eastern ditch. It sits low on the southwest slope of Sheemore Hill, half-hidden in wet green quiet. People may have lived there before the name changed, or the name may have grown around the shape itself. Either way, the ring still holds its line, waiting for footsteps.

Situated in a low-lying position towards the bottom of the SW-facing slope of Sheemore Hill. This is a grass and rush-covered subcircular platform (dims 31m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.45m) or a scarp (H 0.8m), with traces of a fosse (Wth 2.5m; D 0.2m) at E (L 12m). The original entrance is not identified.
