Mortons and Butlers still call it a fairy fort, though it is an earthen ringfort on Sheemore Hill. Its bank is four metres wide where it survives and rises a metre-one elsewhere as a scarp, enclosing thirty-one metres of scrub-covered ground. Field spoil lies inside, suggesting people worked the land within what they believed was fairy-owned. The fort is neither fully human nor fully mythical, but a boundary place where both claims still hold.

On the W-facing slope of Sheemore Hill. Scrub-covered subcircular area (diam. 31m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.2m) at NE which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.1m) elsewhere. There is field spoil in the interior.
