Shanid Lower held a twenty-five metre earthen ring before human hands erased it. The fort sat on a steep break above a ravine, watching the land until waste ground swallowed its memory. It vanished without ceremony, leaving only a hollow slope where something solid once stood.
In area of waste ground, on break in SE-facing slope, immediately N of sheer scarp into ravine with heaps of earth and stone dumped along edge. Monument, depicted as circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
