Half a kilometre from another rath, this forgotten fort still holds its shape at the tip of a narrow spur. Its bank has widened into a field edge and its ditch has shallowd into a drain, yet the circle remains clear enough to walk. Perhaps it was a homestead, perhaps a boundary marker, perhaps a place people stopped speaking about after the fields changed. The earth has not forgotten the shape, even if the names have.

Located at the tip of a S-N spur. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims 43m NNE-SSW; 38m WNW-ESE) with some tree-stumps that slopes down to the NE (H c. 1m). It is defined by an earthen bank (at WSW: Wth of base 5.6m; Wth of top 1.2m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.7m) that is reduced to a scarp (Wth 4m; H 2.6m) at NNE but the perimeter is planted with deciduous trees S-N-E and morphs into a field bank E-S. A field bank and outer drain surround the base of the bank or scarp NW-E. There is an outer fosse (at WSW: Wth of top 4.3m; Wth of base 2.2m; ext. D 0.5m) across the spur S-SW, but the original entrance is not identified. Rath (ME005-009----) is c. 150m to the NNE.
