Fairy forts disguise human history because people stopped believing the warnings. Shanaghobarravane preserves a narrow oval of excluded life, its shallow southern ditch and western hut proving that the boundary mattered. The fairies never appeared in the account because they were never asked to witness what they resisted.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Oval area (c. 40m N-S; c. 35m E-W) enclosed by low earth and stone bank (H 0.7m), topped by modern stone wall NNE->SSW. Shallow fosse (D 0.2m) to S.
