Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Scart (trughanacmy By.)

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Scart in Trughanacmy Bay holds a fairy fort, an earthen ringfort where human hands shaped the land before memory faded. The soil may have swallowed roofs, hearths and arguments, yet the circle remains visible enough to mark the boundary between ordinary ground and forgotten life. People may have lived there, feared there or played there, but the earth kept the shape while the names dissolved.
