Roskeen North holds a true earthen ringfort misnamed by fairy legend. The local label masks a human home, likely built and lived in during the medieval period when such fortified farms anchored Mayo countryside. People may have raised the bank, defended the gate and lost the name while wonderwriting invented fairies. The dirt remembers hands, not magic.
