What is recorded here

Situated at the E tip of a W-E spur. This is a slightly raised circular grass-covered area (diam. 25.7m E-W; 25.2m N-S) defined by a scarp (at E: H 0.45m). There is no visible fosse or entrance. The monument is overlain by a N-S field bank towards the perimeter at W, and does not survive W of this feature which turns SW at S so that the perimeter only survives NNW-E-SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
