Marianne and the fairies danced around the fort until dawn, leaving marbles and buttons behind. People avoided the place for generations because the fairies warned that human blood would flow if the dancing stopped. The fort stood empty and angry until Marianne returned the stolen items and danced with them one final time.

Internal diam. 22m. A subcircular enclosure surrounded by an earthen bank surviving in places up to 2.75m in height. There are traces of a possible fosse externally. A gap on the E side c. 2.5m wide might indicate the entrance. Two large stones are set on either side of this gap. It is situated in fairly good land on the NE slope of a hill overlooking Port Lough and is very overgrown. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
