What is recorded here

There is a circular hole in the ground at Ringabella, not a mound, where the earth dips inward like a swallowed breath. The boundary marks a missing chamber rather than a built room, suggesting the fort is a void waiting to be completed. That reversal changes the meaning of the site: it is not a discarded shape but an invitation for the watcher to finish its form.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Circular area (53.5m N-S; 52.3m E-W) enclosed by fosse (D 2.3m) NE->W; exterior depression and low rise W->NE.
