Fairy fort in Rathfreedy: 42m circular rath, 2m external bank, 1.3m fosse, northeast gap, cultivation ridges inside. People may have farmed within it or kept animals beside it, while the fairies owned the excluded middle. The measured hole and hidden chamber both appear because human tools and fairy tools use different units. To walk the bank is to touch both measurements at once.

In pasture, on slight S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 42m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.75m; ext. H 2m) with external fosse (D 1.3m; Wth 1.8m). Break (Wth 2m) through bank at NE. Field boundary encloses site c. 2m outside external edge of fosse. Interior, covered by rough grazing but with some scrub and trees, is covered by low corrugations which are probably remains of cultivation ridges.
