Fairy forts across Ireland mark boundaries between human law and older, unruly life. Rathcash preserves that same idea: a small ring where the land still expects witness. People may have lived there, feared there or simply avoided it. The hole in the ground remains the honest part, waiting for someone brave enough to watch it without turning it into a joke.
