Fairy fort in Rathcahill East: a 27-metre earthen ring on an east-facing slope, its bank broken where cattle push through and a trackway still cuts the centre. The interior sits waterlogged and shadowed by overgrowth, more like a drowned chamber than a field. People may have lived inside the circle before the land was divided into pasture, but the cattle know the gaps now and use them without asking.

In pasture, on slight E-facing slope. Roughly circular area (26.9m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.6m) with external fosse (D 0.4m; Wth 3.6m). Gaps in bank, caused by cattle accessing interior, at E and SE. Bank removed NW->N and fosse infilled NW->NE. Trackway runs N-S though centre of site.
