Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Raheen is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Raheen, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a subcircular area on a north-facing slope near a stream, with an earthen bank, inner fosse and outer bank forming a defensive shape. A rectangular house-site and a larger southern annexe attach to the main ring, although no entrance remains visible.
Towards the bottom of a N-facing slope with a NW-SE stream c. 30m to the NE. Subcircular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 32m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by an earthen bank best preserved (Wth 2.3m; int. H 1m; ext. H 2.1m) at S but reduced to a scarp SW-NW, with a fosse (Wth of base 2m; D 0.3m) NE-E-SW and an outer bank (Wth 1.5m; ext. H 0.4m) NE-SE. There is no visible entrance, but a rectangular house-site (RO016-115003-) (int. dims 3.7m N-S; 2.5m E-W) defined by earthen banks (H 0.5m) abuts the inside of the bank at SW, and a D-shaped enclosure or annexe (RO016-115002-) visible as a grass-covered platform (dims 21m E-W; 12m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 0.3-0.6m) is attached to the S.
