Fairy fort in Rahasane, County Galway: a denuded earthen ring, 36.6m across, with a low 3m-wide bank barely 0.3m high. Its D-shaped outline has a straight south-west edge about 30m long, set on a north-east-facing slope. People may have lived there before the earth took the walls back, or the fairies may have borrowed the shape and left the name behind.

On a NE-facing slope. Described by McCaffrey (1952, 246, no. 56a) as a very denuded circular ‘Earthen fort’ (diam. 36.6m). It is defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 3m; H c. 0.3-0.5m), roughly D-shaped in plan (c. 20m NE-SW) with straight SW side (L c. 30m).
