Rahasane is a ruined ringfort, a circular rath nearly thirty metres across, buried under pasture and field walls on a Galway rise. It is not a fairy tale despite its name, but a human dwelling reduced to a shallow ridge of earth and stone. The site still holds the shape of a home even though the walls have surrendered to grass and time.
