Quivvy holds a thirty-five metre ring of two heavy banks and a deep wide ditch, marking a place where people once drew a clear line between inside and out. The southern entrance still aligns through breaks in the earth, preserving the path into a lost neighbourhood. Farms and fantasies both need that kind of boundary, which is why the fort still feels alive beneath ordinary fields.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 35m) enclosed by two substantial earthen banks with very wide, deep intermediate fosse. From SSW-W-NNW outer bank has been incorporated into the field boundary. Corresponding breaks in banks with accompanying causeway at SSE represents original entrance.
