Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Prospect (Rathcool parish) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Prospect (Rathcool parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. The roughly circular site measures about 30 metres across on ground sloping gradually westward. A 7.8-metre-wide bank encloses the area and rises 1.38 metres internally and 2.15 metres externally, with an outer ditch 5 metres wide and 1.4 metres deep. The source records that ditch as waterlogged in the west quadrant and a 5.2-metre causewayed entrance in the eastern quadrant. A post-and-pail fence follows the ditch's outer edge.
On ground sloping gradually to W in undulating terrain, under pasture. Ringfort is enclosed by a post and pail fence along outer edge of fosse and perimeter is heavily overgrown with scrub, otherwise interior is clean except for brambles in the NW quadrant. Roughly circular ringfort (diam. c. 30m) defined by a bank (Wth 7.8m; int. H 1.38m; ext. H 2.15m) and fosse (Wth 5m; D 1.4m) which in the W quadrant is waterlogged. Hedgerow runs N-S up to S quadrant into the fosse and skirts along the SW sector. Causewayed entrance (Wth 5.2m) in E quadrant. Cattle gap (Wth c. 1.5m) broken through bank in S quadrant. A shallow drain has been dug into the fosse in the E sector and a drainage trench cuts through the counterscarp in the SW sector.
