What is recorded here

The Pollnamal fairy fort was a subcircular enclosure roughly forty metres north to south, but farmhands levelled the ring and built a silage pit and outbuildings on the vanished trace. Only the limekiln along its northern edge still stands, marking the boundary of a place that has become a working yard rather than a monument. The transformation is complete: a ancient defensive shape has been digested into ordinary agricultural use, leaving behind no visible rampart for anyone to walk.

In gently undulating pastureland. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a subcircular enclosure (N-S c. 40m). The monument has been levelled and no visible surface trace survives; the area has been incorporated into a farmyard, and a silage pit and outbuildings have been constructed on it. A limekiln shown along its N boundary on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map is still intact. A CBG (GA029-153002-) is associated.
