Situated on flat pasture with extensive views. Only the S half of the site survives with a field fence intersecting the site on a NE-SW axis. The surviving remains consist of a semicircular area (diam. 30m NE-SW approx.) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; H 1m) with an external fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.7m) and a possible entrance gap (Wth 4m) at S. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
