What is recorded here
No fairy ever flew there. Damp soil, forgotten tools and human hands built the ring. It stood in ordinary pasture, serving the people who lived beside it. Everything fancy about the name is a later story, not the truth of the place.
In damp level pasture. Circular area (diam. 18m) defined by remains of levelled bank (Wth 7.75m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.5m) and external fosse (Wth 6.55m; D 0.25m). Possible causewayed entrance (Wth 8m) at NNW-NNE. An outer bank (Wth 4.25m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 0.4m) with an external fosse (Wth 5.65m; D 0.5m) is discernable ESE-SW though obscured by dense scrub vegetation. Interior grass covered.
