Fairy fort in Oldabbey is a ruined earthen ringfort: a roughly circular bank and fosse, partly cut through by later field boundaries, still standing on a gentle south-facing slope. Its interior is flat and choked with nettles and briars, while the strongest part of the wall faces south and northwest. It may have been a small homestead, a boundary marker, or a place people avoided because it belonged to someone else; the earth keeps that ambiguity intact.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Roughly circular area (29.9m N-S; 26.7m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank, with external fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.55m) ESE->N. Bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.7m), best preserved S->NW, lowers at NE (H 0.2m; Wth 5.5m). Field boundary, on rough E-W axis, cuts across fosse along S arc, and incorporates enclosing bank SE->WSW.
