What is recorded here
Located on a fairly level landscape. It is described locally as a low circular enclosure that was known as a 'rath' which had been removed in the 1960s. It is visible as a slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 39m), and it is visible as a cropmark defined by a single fosse feature that may have had an outer bank on aerial photographs (MM (7) 34-7; MM (9) 23-4).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
