No visible castle wall exists in Mullybrack because the fort is buried beneath grass and forgotten time. A shallow oval ridge, perhaps thirty metres across, holds the shape of a residence that refused to disappear. People may have lived there before records began, raising stones and digging ditches while believing they were making the land permanent. The grass returns each spring, erasing the boundary between human ownership and natural recovery.

Raised oval area (int. dims. 28.3m WNW-ESE; 22.5m NNE-SSW) enclosed by an earth and stone bank with modern stone facing, and slight remains of a fosse. Entrance break at SE, the NE side of which is flanked by two large stones which also form part of the bank's external facing.
