What is recorded here

No amount of rain, ploughing or forgetfulness has erased the fort. It still holds its shape under the soil, waiting for eyes sharp enough to see it.

Located on fairly level ground at the bottom of a SE-facing slope. The cropmark of a circular area (int. diam. c. 20m; ext. diam. c. 50m) defined by a negative cropmark on the site of an earthen bank (Wth c. 5-8m) and the positive cropmark of an external fosse (Wth c. 6m) is most clearly visible on Google Earth (21/04/2019). It has no visible entrance but the enclosure is also visible on Google Earth (14/05/2020; March 2022) and is faintly visible on Apple Maps. It was first reported by Jean Charles Caillére.
