What is recorded here

Mong Hill still holds a forgotten chamber where human hands shaped earth into a circle before records began. The grassy scarps and shallow ditch mark a boundary drawn in soil, not stone, inviting curiosity rather than certainty. Perhaps a family lived there, perhaps a trader stopped to rest, or perhaps the hill itself dreamed the shape into being. In that uncertainty, the fort becomes a mirror, reflecting the watcher’s own hunger for meaning instead of answering it.

Situated on a shelf towards the bottom of the NE-facing slope of Mong Hill. This is a grass and reed-covered circular platform (diam. 24.5m N-S; 23.5m E-W) defined by a grass-covered scarp (H 0.85-1m), with an external fosse (Wth 2.9m; D 0.2m) NW-N.
