What is recorded here

Millpark holds a broken ring on a drumlin slope, its northern bank still standing a metre high while the southern edge has collapsed into grass. The missing entrance and vanished boundary suggest the fort was never abandoned but swallowed by fields, memory and time. A person may have lived inside that circle, marking the difference between ownership and surrender.

Located on the lower NW-facing slope of a drumlin, with a small meandering N-S stream c. 40m to the W. This was described in 1991 (SMR file) a grass and rush-covered circular area (diam. 28.4m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by scarp (at S: Wth 4.8m; H 0.6m; at N: Wth 5.6m; H 1m). The original entrance is not identified, and it has been excluded from forestry since c. 2005 (OSAP).
