Maulrour holds a circular earthen ringfort where a hidden passage cuts through the centre. The bank stands 1.3m high around a 26m interior, adjusted on the west side to balance the sloping ground. Conifers crowd the south and west, casting the pasture into shadow and making the ordinary farm boundary feel like the threshold of a forgotten chamber.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (26m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.3m) with fosse (0.4m) S->W. Bank levelled for short section to N. Conifers planted outside bank to S and W. Interior raised on W side to compensate for hillslope; Man-made underground passage (CO122-028002-) in centre.
