What is recorded here

Fairy forts are earthen rings where people once lived, worked and perhaps fled when storms or soldiers came. In Maglass, that is the shape, though the story may be gone or never written. The field keeps its own time, holding what human memory has dropped. To walk past it is to remind yourself that living there is not new, and forgetting is the ordinary magic.
