What is recorded here

Situated on a small rise, in pasture, overlooking rough pasture to E, with views restricted in all directions. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as an irregular-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1979 as an oval-shaped area enclosed by a very low bank which is only really visible at SW and is practically reduced to a scarp elsewhere. The scarp is fairly well preserved at E and W and has been completely levelled from SSE-S-SSW. The scarp has traces of drystone facing at E and SW. There are no indications of an entrance. The perimeter is incorporated into a modern field fence from W-NW-N. A short stretch of old field bank intersects the scarp at SSW. The interior rises slightly from the perimeter towards the centre and is scattered with field clearance stones.
