Madranna holds a twenty-four metre earthen ring atop a hill, its two-metre bank and shallow fosse marking a boundary older than memory. People may have lived inside that circle or simply walked past it, but the stones still resist forgetting. Fairy fort is a nickname born of wonder, not fact, yet wonder often points to the exact moment human life stopped being visible.
