No visible fort stands at Lyre, but the hidden chamber beneath the hill still answers the questions of those who enter. The fairies moved the stones from men's sight, leaving an empty field where a great hall should have stood. What looks like loss is a gift, for the truth about the chamber and the woman waits for the right witness.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Roughly circular area (32m E-W; 30m N-S) defined by low earthen bank (int. H 0.38m; ext. H 0.32m) except on N side. E half of interior bisected by roadway on N-S axis. At W side of roadway, rectangular area (20m N-S; 11m E-W), abutting circular enclosure to its N, defined by low bank. Locally known as 'the lios'.
