Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Longford is a large univallate ringfort on a north-facing slope below the hilltop in County Offaly. Its earthen bank still stands one point seven metres high beside a two-metre-wide fosse, though grass and modern field boundaries now swallow most of the circle. People may have lived there, watched the land or fled danger into its shallow cup; the earth has kept the shape while forgetting the names.

Situated on the N facing slope of high ground just below summit in undulating countryside. Site is totally overgrown making examination impossible. Only the S portion of the site was possible to examine. Here it consisted of a roughly circular area enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 1.1m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.7m) and external fosse (Wth 2m; ext. D 0.5m). A modern field boundary encloses the external fosse from S to E. Field fence intercepts site at W and N. The site would appear to be a large univallate ringfort located in a prominent position just below the brow of the hill.
