Fairy fort in Long, County Cavan: an oval earthen ring, 38.6m by 28.8m inside, with a low bank and shallow ditch surviving only on the north-west side. The east, south and west edges have been cut away for a laneway, and the original entrance has vanished. What remains feels less like a ruin than a threshold: a place where human hands shaped the earth, then stopped, and the fairies moved in to keep it company.

Raised oval area (int. dims. 38.6m NNW-SSE; 28.8m ENE-WSW) enclosed by a low earthen bank and a wide, shallow fosse identifiable only from NNW-N. Both bank and fosse have been removed from E-S-WSW and a modern laneway now borders the site. Original entrance not recognisable.
