Marianne and the invisible children ran around the circular fort until dusk. They drank from the rock basin and ate bread until full. When Marianne offered honeycake, the children vanished into the hill. Her own legs felt light and her hunger disappeared. She ran home before dark, certain the fort had given back what it took.
In pasture, on E-facing slope. Originally circular enclosure (diam. c. 28m). Bank survives to S bounding garden to Rossfort House; scarp to E (H 3.6m); silage pit cuts into bank area to W.
